Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a software sustainment engineer to maintain and modernize legacy enterprise systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement security-compliant upgrades. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional team to deliver mission-ready software and advise clients on modernization strategies.

Applicants should have 3+ years in sustainment, experience with microservices, APIs, and cloud or web development stacks, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience maintaining and making minor changes to existing applications
• 3+ years of experience with legacy enterprise systems
• Experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
• Experience working in a microservices or distributed application environment
• Experience with designing and debugging applications
• Experience with workflows, web parts, site maintenance, and APIs
• Ability to create solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in software development in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

• Maintain applications and keep systems working in sustainment mode
• Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs; upgrade systems to meet security requirements
