Job summary

Chapman University is seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain our Salesforce environments across two orgs: Advancement RM and a Career Development org. You will implement Apex and Visualforce customizations, manage integrations with PeopleSoft, Azure, Handshake, and other systems, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Ideal candidates will handle client relations, leverage Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, and explore AI tools like Claude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field.
• 2–5 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Ability to lead and encourage collaboration on projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Salesforce.com environment.
• Design, build and customize using Apex and Visualforce.
• Manage Salesforce data feeds and integrations (PeopleSoft, Azure, Handshake).
• Provide user training and support across the organization.
• Coordinate development requests and project milestones.
• Prepare technical documentation and release notes.
• Ensure best practices and quality of applications.
