Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a CS/IT background.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate Salesforce development and test classes.
• Expertise in Lightning Components with CSS and design parameters.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and core platform capabilities.
• Experience programming in Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and Aura Component development.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to customer assignments.

Responsibilities

Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Information Technology Business Applications team in a hybrid capacity based in San Jose, CA, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Application Engineering.

In this role, you will drive the design, development, and scaling of robust Salesforce solutions that empower internal stakeholders and optimize business processes. By leveraging your expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform best practices, you will build critical applications, conduct rigorous testing, and maintain code quality to ensure high system performance and seamless data integrity across our environments.

What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)

• Develop and customize user interface components using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura, ensuring alignment with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and upgrading legacy Visualforce pages
• Design and maintain highly efficient Apex Controllers, Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL queries while strictly adhering to Salesforce Governor Limits and development best practices
• Champion overall code quality by refactoring existing Apex classes, ensuring context‑aware execution, and utilizing JavaScript Helper functions to maintain clean controllers
• Execute robust testing strategies by writing comprehensive Apex test classes to achieve high‑quality test coverage, managing seamless deployments using VS Code and Git
• Perform routine data administration, bulk uploads, and environment synchronization using Data Loader to maintain impeccable data integrity across all environments

• 2+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience with a background in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Expertise in developing Lightning Components with CSS and design parameters to enhance look and feel
• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and core platform capabilities
• Experience programming in Apex, Visualforce pages, LWC, and Aura Component development
• U.S. citizenship, required due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role

Pay Transparency

Base Pay Range

$116,000—$145,000 USD

The base salary range listed for this full‑time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level.
