Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions, Inc. in Albany, NY seeks a seasoned Salesforce Architect for a 24-month onsite engagement with the NY State - Office of Mental Health. You will lead multi-team SDLC activities, design large-scale Salesforce solutions, and ensure secure integrations using REST/SOAP, OAuth 2.0, and Git-based workflows.

A rare blend of architecture leadership and hands-on delivery is required. Candidates must have 15+ years of architecture experience, strong SOA mindset, and Salesforce

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software architecture and development.
• Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of large-scale systems.
• Proficient in REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, Named Credentials, and SSO.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, VS Code, Salesforce CLI, SFDX, CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Architects to foster a SOA environment for OMH applications.
• Participate in business analysis and systems development lifecycle.
• Use Salesforce platform to develop applications.

Description

Develop applications in the application modernization project in the Salesforce platform.

Duties

• Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
• Provide guidance & assistance to various development teams during full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate with other Technical Architects to create and foster a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment for OMH applications.
• Participate in business analysis and systems development lifecycle.
• Use the Salesforce platform to develop applications.
• Prepare scripts to create and modify existing Oracle tables, create indexes, constraints, triggers, views, etc., code stored procedures and packages, convert and migrate data when necessary.
• Data manipulation, including manipulation of Protected Health Information data.
• Mentor and assist other programmers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
• Use a source code repository GitLab for checking source code in and out, branching off new versions of the source code.
• Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
• Code applications that access Protected Health Information.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules, calculations, and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
• Participate in multi-agency technical meetings and work sessions.
• Guide & advise various development teams on software design & architecture matters.
• Provide assistance & advise on best practices for using GIT for code versioning & collaboration.
• Coordinate service requests with various ITS Chief Operating Office personnel for releases and changes for the application.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience (15+ Years)
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.

Requirements

• 84 Months Experience as an Architect on Salesforce platform.
• 84 Months Experience Designing and consuming custom REST and SOAP web services.
• 84 Months Experience Implementing secure connections using OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT, Named Credentials, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• 36 Months Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Informatica.
• 84 Months Experience with Salesforce Apex (Classes, Triggers, Controllers), Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL.
• 84 Months Experience with Salesforce Flow Builder (Record-Triggered, Screen, Autolaunched), Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Security Model (OWDs, Sharing Rules, Profiles, Permission Sets).
• 60 Months Experience with Git/GitHub, VS Code, Salesforce CLI, SFDX, CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins), Scratch Orgs, Sandboxes.
• 24 Months Experience in integrating AI, prompt engineering, and unified data profiles into custom development.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Any Salesforce Certified Architect certification.
