Job summary

Aviation Portfolio is seeking a Salesforce Administrator to own day-to-day health, configuration and ongoing development of our Salesforce environment. You will translate business needs into CRM solutions, support integrations and automation, and protect data quality as we build AI capabilities on top of Salesforce.

You’ll also serve as a cross-trained IT resource, providing help desk coverage, system administration and operational support to keep workloads running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering a production Salesforce org and delivering solutions actively used by business teams.
• Knowledge of Flow, Apex, LWC, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, sandboxes, testing, deployment and source control.
• Ability to balance configuration with code when justified and to troubleshoot integrations and data movement.

Summary

The Salesforce Administrator owns the day-to-day health, configuration, and continued development of Aviation Portfolio’s Salesforce environment. This role translates business needs into CRM solutions, supports integrations and automation, protects data quality, and helps the company get more value from its core operating platform. A core objective of the role is to structure Salesforce data, processes, and integrations so they can serve as a clean, well-governed foundation for the AI systems Aviation Portfolio is building in-house. The role also serves as a cross-trained member of the IT function, providing help desk overflow, routine systems administration, and operational coverage when needed.

What you own

• Salesforce administration: Manage users, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing, objects, fields, record types, page layouts, reports, dashboards, flows, validation rules, and release-related configuration across Salesforce Lightning.
• Salesforce development: Design, build, test, document, and maintain scalable solutions using Flow and declarative tools, with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and APIs where custom development is appropriate.
• Business process improvement: Partner with leaders and frontline teams to understand how client service, sales, operations, billing, and reporting work today, then convert those needs into practical Salesforce improvements with clear acceptance criteria.
• Integrations and automation: Support Salesforce connections with tools such as Front, Aircall, Riva, Conga, Zapier, Make, Microsoft 365, and internal APIs. Monitor failures, troubleshoot data movement, and reduce fragile manual work.
• Data quality and platform governance: Maintain reliable account, contact, program, trip, itinerary, and transaction data; manage duplicate prevention, imports, exports, retention, auditability, sandbox practices, change control, documentation, and backup/recovery processes.
• Reporting and operational insight: Build reports and dashboards that help leaders and operating teams understand client activity, service performance, pipeline, workload, and system health. Validate that metrics are defined consistently and sourced correctly.
• AI enablement: Build and maintain the data foundation for Aviation Portfolio's in-house AI systems: consistent object models, clean and well-labeled records, documented business logic, and API access patterns that let internal AI tools read from and write to Salesforce safely. Partner on projects that apply AI to client service, operations, and reporting workflows.
• End-user support and enablement: Resolve Salesforce issues, investigate root causes, communicate clearly with nontechnical users, and create concise documentation and training that help employees use the platform correctly and confidently.
• IT help desk coverage: Provide overflow support for macOS and iOS devices, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Outlook, Slack, Zoom, Front, Aircall, 1Password, and other business applications. Triage requests, document work, elevate appropriately, and follow issues through resolution.
• Core systems administration: Perform routine user lifecycle, access, MFA, licensing, endpoint, security, and systems-health checks. Serve as a reliable backup for onboarding, offboarding, account access, vendor coordination, and time-sensitive IT incidents.
• Security and reliability: Apply least-privilege access, secure development practices, testing, monitoring, and disciplined production changes. Identify risks early and help maintain a dependable environment for a remote, seven-day operation.

What you bring

• Salesforce experience: Hands-on experience administering a production Salesforce organization and delivering solutions that are actively used by business teams.
• Development capability: Working knowledge of Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, sandboxes, testing, deployment, and source control. You know when configuration is sufficient and whenever code is justified.
• Technical breadth: Comfort troubleshooting SaaS applications, identity and access, endpoint issues, email and collaboration tools, and common integration failures. Experience supporting Apple-focused environments and Microsoft 365 is especially useful.
• Systems thinking: Ability to understand relationships among data, permissions, automation, integrations and business processes and anticipate downstream effects.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical issues, tradeoffs, and next steps to employees and leaders without unnecessary jargon.
• Ownership: Sound judgment, careful documentation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities independently in a fast moving high trust environment.
• Preferred credentials: Salesforce Administrator certification is strongly preferred. Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Advanced Administrator or relevant Microsoft and IT support certifications are a plus.
• Experience level: Typically three or more years of relevant Salesforce administration or development experience, with meaningful exposure to IT support or systems administration. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Work Schedule

Because we operate seven days a week, this role involves regular weekend and holiday shifts, along with occasional after-hours work - schedule flexibility is a must.
