Position: Sales Trainee (Account Manager)

Locations: Colfax, NC; Greenville, NC; Richmond, VA

Schedule: Monday - Friday

As part of Air Liquide, a world leader in gases, technology, and services, Airgas serves industries including manufacturing, healthcare, construction, energy, hospitality, and food service.

The Sales Trainee will complete an accelerated training program focused on developing professional selling skills and industry knowledge. Upon successful completion, the Trainee will transition into an Account Manager role.

Training Program (50%)

• Learn the business and develop sales skills
• Maintain safety standards and complete online and classroom training
• Gain knowledge of industry, products, and customers
• Practice sales techniques through calls and visits
• Understand basic financial concepts like Gross Margin and EBITDA

Practical Application (50%)

• Travel within the territory to call on customers
• Develop plans to grow customer base and manage accounts receivable
• Communicate effectively with internal teams
• Prepare sales presentations and proposals
• Collaborate with branch managers and pursue leads
• Maintain sales reports and participate in special projects

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gases and welding supplies is a plus
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Google Docs, email
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; experience may substitute
