Job summary

Grifols, S.A is looking for a Sales & Technical Application Specialist (STAS) to join our team. This hybrid role includes managing customer accounts, driving sales, and providing technical support. You will work closely with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product implementation.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Medical Technology or Life Sciences, with fluent English, French, and German skills. Experience in diagnostics customer service is preferred.

  • 1–2 years of experience in diagnostics customer service, technical support, applications, or a related field.

Contract Type: Regular Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer‑oriented Sales & Technical Application Specialist (STAS) to join our Diagnostics team. This hybrid commercial and technical role combines account management, project implementation, technical consulting, and customer support responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to customers while driving business growth, ensuring successful product implementation, and delivering high‑quality technical support.

The STAS will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Service, Training, and customer stakeholders across the region, supporting both existing and new business opportunities within the French‑speaking territories (Western Switzerland) and the German‑speaking part of Bern–Basel–Solothurn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop customer accounts within assigned territories.
  • Drive equipment sales in both existing and competitor accounts.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, commercial offers, and contract renewals.
  • Support implementation of new customer accounts and onboarding activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments.
  • Conduct technical reviews and workflow analyses at customer sites.
  • Support equipment and software upgrades.
  • Collect, analyze, and report customer data at country and sector level.
  • Assist Sales Executives with presentations, business analysis, and portfolio expansion activities.
Technical & Customer Support
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and operational support to customers.
  • Deliver high‑level technical and clinical discussions with customers.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through responsive communication and problem‑solving.
  • Support hotline coverage and field‑based customer assistance as required.
Project Management
  • Lead and coordinate projects implemented at customer sites.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders and customer teams.
  • Participate in new product launches and implementation activities.
  • Manage multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Training & Documentation
  • Support preparation, translation, and verification of technical and commercial documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory documentation.
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, GMP, ISO regulations, and applicable certification requirements.
  • Adhere to all organizational protocols and policies.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Biomedical Scientist
  • Immunohematology education basics
Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in diagnostics customer service, technical support, applications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in sales support and customer account management preferred.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic products and laboratory workflows.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High level of customer focus and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computerized systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
