Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Sales Support to assist customers and support branch operations. Shift is MON–FRI 7:00am–5:00pm with 10–28 hours/week, on-site at 13006 Sam Neely Rd, Charlotte.

This entry-level role offers training and performance-based onboarding to help you grow in sales and service. You will work on customer service, order placement, inventory management, and deliveries using a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pursuing or have a degree in Business/Marketing OR related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Exhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.

OVERVIEW

Working as Part-time Sales Support, you must have a strong interest in sales and enjoy working in a fast paced challenging environment. This is an entry level position that will provide assistance to our customers from our branch located at 13006 Sam Neely Rd, Charlotte, NC 28273. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with sales/customer service
• Managing inventory
• Placing and fulfilling orders
• Receiving and shipping inventory
• Performing deliveries with a company vehicle

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Exhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
