Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Support at the Export, PA branch. You will assist customers, manage stock, place and fulfill orders, and help with receiving and shipping inventory.

The role includes occasional deliveries using a company vehicle and requires a strong sales interest in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and have a business/marketing background or related experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Degree in Business/Marketing or related industry experience and knowledge of the local market.
• Strong written and oral communication, and basic math aptitude are essential.
• Demonstrates sales interest and a customer-service orientation.
• Must be self-directed, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Will lift and move packages weighing 25–75 lbs, sometimes up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screening where required by US regulations.

Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW

Working as Part-time Sales Support, you must have a strong interest in sales and enjoy working in a fast paced challenging environment. This is an entry level position that will provide assistance to our customers from our branch located at 1004 Corporate Ln, Export, PA 15632. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with sales/customer service
• Managing inventory
• Placing and fulfilling orders
• Receiving and shipping inventory
• Performing deliveries with a company vehicle

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Exhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
