Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is a leading packaging manufacturer seeking a General Field Sales & Account Manager to drive growth with new and existing customers across packaging solutions.

You will manage strategic accounts, develop long‑term sales plans, and coordinate proposals and product demonstrations to expand profitable customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 year’s experience in account management.
  • Previous experience in packaging or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Technical experience with manufacturing equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Face-to-face sales to new customers and managing interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities.
  • Develop long term relationships with key contacts with the Customers.
  • Effectively managing long-term contracts with major key accounts.
  • Developing medium to long-term sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.

Job Summary

General Field Sales & Account Management work is focused on field sales and account management activities including:

  • Face-to-face sales to new customers and managing interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities
  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions
  • Developing and delivering sales bids/proposals/presentations and conducting product demonstrations
  • Developing medium to long-term sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers
  • Preparing strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts. Incumbents in this specialization may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievement of sales targets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Principal Responsibilities

To maintain and increase the profitable sale of products by:

  • Actively promotingproducts, services, and image
  • Manage regional monthly sales forecast, weekly sales call reports, and account receivables
  • Developing long term relationships with key contacts with the Customers
  • Effectively managinglongterm contracts with major key accounts

To work within the established procedures by:

  • Producing required reports
  • Operatinga dynamic personal sales plan
  • Completing call forecast / visit made documents
  • Maintainingaccount recordsaccurately and timely

To obtain information relevant to the strategy of the business by:

  • Reporting competitor activity
  • Understanding competitor products
  • Monitoring the sales and marketing activities of competitor

Toliaise with business unit personnel

  • Report back and discuss relative opportunities, includingspecial products and projects
  • Jointly develop actions plans to secure future business
  • Jointly develop actions plans to follow appropriate projects
  • Develop internal relationshipswithin otherrelevant all areasofGPI
  • Proven track records of increasing sales year on year.
  • Knows the stakeholders in customer's organization and how to work through the customer's organization to the decision makers
  • Understands the customer's long and short term goals
Relevant Experience

Pay Range

$66,300.00 - $88,400.00
