Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges and establish D.R. Horton as the best solution.
- Overcome objections and close sales.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction.
- Continually source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals and work effectively with other team members.
- Maintain and expand database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit of the company.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years related experience.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive during daytime or nighttime.
- Ability to use D.R. Horton sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via D.R. Horton sales applications.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Physical requirements: ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend at the waist, walk up and down stairs, work on uneven terrain, use hands for fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Regular exposure to outside weather conditions. Noise level generally moderate.
