Job summary

Martignetti Companies in Bend, OR seeks a field sales professional to advance and secure sales within the assigned market. You will pursue new accounts, service existing ones, and meet revenue targets in your territory.

The role requires strong communication, time management, and negotiation skills, with occasional night/weekend activity for promotions and displays, and driving to customer sites across Oregon.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ sales experience, beverage industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and registration.
• Ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements as defined by state and ABC license, as required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell products within the assigned geographic area to meet sales targets.
• Pursue sales leads, visit customers, assess needs, prepare quotes and service obligations to meet revenue targets.
• Develop product knowledge by working with a more experienced sales representative.
• Troubleshoot and handle customer inquiries.

Description

Responsible for advancing and securing sales in the market, performs functions to secure new accounts and service the needs of the existing accounts with an assigned territory.

This position will work within their assigned market/territory to achieve sales goals.

Key Accountabilities:

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell the organization's products within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to meet sales targets.
• Pursue sales leads, personally visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, prepare price quotes, delivery dates and service obligations to meet established revenue targets.
• Develop sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers by working closely with a more experienced sales representative.
• May troubleshoot and handle customer related inquiries.
• May be responsible for merchandising activities as a point of servicing accounts to make room for more product placement including stocking shelves, cleaning shelves, stocking cold boxes and building displays.
• Job duties include working nights and weekends on promotional activities and other account activities.

Education/Training/Experience

• College degree or equivalent work experience/training/education preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry
• Candidate must possess valid driver’s license and registration
• Ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements as defined by the Company and Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state

Physical Demands and Environment

• Occasional physical exertion including the regular lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds and the occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the work day
• Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
• Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
• Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set up of displays
