Sales Representative - Chicago

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges then establish DR Horton as the best solution available.
- Overcome objections and close sales.
- Maintain accurate documentation from sale through loan, options, and construction.
- Continuously source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with the team.
- Maintain and expand database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive daytime or nighttime.
- Proficiency with DRH Sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Physical requirements: stand and walk for 4 hours or up to 8 hour day, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend, walk stairs, use hands, reach, talk, and hear; lift/move up to 25 pounds; vision: close, distance, color, peripheral.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather; moderate noise level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensing requirements vary by state.
- Prior CRM software experience.
- Previous sales experience and industry knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong motivation.
