Job summary

Charter Communications is hiring for a field sales role in Riverside, CA. You will acquire residential customers door-to-door at MDUs with 49 or fewer doors, using a consultative approach to understand needs and meet sales targets.

Base pay ranges from $33,200 to $55,000 with lucrative incentives; top performers can exceed $100,000 a year. You’ll also receive free Spectrum services; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or demonstrated work experience
• 0–6+ months of sales or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of cold call techniques and persuasive communication
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Ability to travel within assigned territories using a personal vehicle

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition via door-to-door sales in MDUs with 49 or fewer doors
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and penetration goals
• Generate incremental revenue by adding Spectrum services to existing customers
• Respond to customer problems per company policy and ensure satisfactory resolution
• Maintain knowledge of competitors’ pricing and programs and relay insights to management

HowYou'llMake an Impact

• Drive new customer acquisition by conducting door-to-door sales in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling unit properties with 49 or fewer doors.
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
• Meet or exceed established monthly sales performance targets and penetration goals within the assigned MDU portfolio, as defined in the Standards of Sales Performance.
• Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new oradditionalSpectrum services within assigned properties.
• Respond to customer problems and complaints according to established company policy, usingappropriate toolsand resources, andfollowthrough to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved.
• Maintain a well-informed knowledge base of competitors' activities, pricing, and offers throughout the assigned territory, and inform the supervisor/manager of changing competitive programs or marketing directions.
• Attend and actively contribute to sales meetings and training programs; apply learning and feedback to improve individual sales results.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation to support sales activities, including dispositions, sales orders, and sales reporting, in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines and requiredtimeframes.
• Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to Company policy and guideline

Working Conditions

• Spends approximately 80% of time in outside environment for extended periods of time in any season with potential exposure to inclement weather
• Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds for 20 - 30 feet (digital boxes, etc.)
• Exposure to moderate noise levels
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and split days off

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

• 0-6+ months of sales or customer service experience

• Knowledge of cold call sales techniques and persuasive communication
• Ability to travel within assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle, including during inclement weather
• Capacity to work outdoors for extended periods in any season or weather
• Familiarity with computer operating systems, consumer and commercial communications devices such as smartphones, routers and wireless equipment, and computer software applications
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record meeting Spectrum standards

• Understanding of communications technologies and services, particularly data networking fundamentals

The base pay for this position generally is between $33,200.00 and $55,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $45,000.
