The Home Energy Specialist is responsible for helping homeowners become more energy efficient by performing Mass Save Home Energy Assessments This role will be modeling homes in energy efficiency software diagnosing energy usage problems and recommending energy saving measures such as insulation and high efficiency heating and cooling

Continually improve product knowledge and sales skills through ongoing learning including staying informed on the latest energy saving options and technologiesCollaborate with internal divisions to cross sell products and servicesPerform additional tasks as required
Requires a high school diploma or equivalentBachelors degree in related field preferredValid MA drivers license and reliable transportation for travel requiredBPI Certification a plusPrevious customer service and sales experience preferredMASS Save program knowledge a plusBasic computer skills requiredAbility to thrive in a fast paced environment with strong organization and time management skillsMust work independently as the role is primarily field basedExcellent verbal written and listening skillsOutgoing flexible and personable demeanorRequires proficiency in reading writing and communicating in English
Customer settings This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors including in attics basements small confined spaces and rooftops
While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand bend crawl or kneel in confined spaces The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds and must be able to climb ladders enter crawl spaces stand on roofs and move up and down stairs safelyThis job requires travel in a personal vehicle
