Job summary

Charter Communications is hiring for a field sales role focused on acquiring residential customers door-to-door in MDUs with 49 or fewer doors. You will use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and meet or exceed sales targets while providing Spectrum services such as Internet, TV, and mobile.

Travel within the assigned territory and a strong emphasis on customer experience are required. We offer a competitive base salary plus incentives; total compensation can exceed $100,000

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-6+ months of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cold call sales techniques and persuasive communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition by conducting door-to-door sales in assigned non-bulk MDUs with 49 or fewer doors.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and penetration goals.
• Generate incremental revenue by adding Spectrum services to existing customers.
• Respond to problems per policy and ensure issues are resolved.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors’ activities and pricing in the territory.
• Attend sales meetings and training and apply learnings to improve results.
• Accurately complete documentation: dispositions, orders, reporting per guidelines.

HowYou'llMake an Impact

• Drive new customer acquisition by conducting door-to-door sales in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling unit properties with 49 or fewer doors.
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
• Meet or exceed established monthly sales performance targets and penetration goals within the assigned MDU portfolio, as defined in the Standards of Sales Performance.
• Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new oradditionalSpectrum services within assigned properties.
• Respond to customer problems and complaints according to established company policy, usingappropriate toolsand resources, andfollowthrough to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved.
• Maintain a well-informed knowledge base of competitors' activities, pricing, and offers throughout the assigned territory, and inform the supervisor/manager of changing competitive programs or marketing directions.
• Attend and actively contribute to sales meetings and training programs; apply learning and feedback to improve individual sales results.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation to support sales activities, including dispositions, sales orders, and sales reporting, in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines and requiredtimeframes.
• Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to Company policy and guideline

Working Conditions

• Spends approximately 80% of time in outside environment for extended periods of time in any season with potential exposure to inclement weather
• Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds for 20 - 30 feet (digital boxes, etc.)
• Exposure to moderate noise levels
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and split days off

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Experience

• 0-6+ months of sales or customer service experience

Skills

• Knowledge of cold call sales techniques and persuasive communication
• Ability to travel within assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle, including during inclement weather
• Capacity to work outdoors for extended periods in any season or weather
• Familiarity with computer operating systems, consumer and commercial communications devices such as smartphones, routers and wireless equipment, and computer software applications
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record meeting Spectrum standards

• Understanding of communications technologies and services, particularly data networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services
• Experience educating consumers about products and services
• Success in sales,prospectingor cold calling, with direct sales experience preferred
