Job summary

Home Consignment Center in Calabasas is seeking a friendly part-time Retail Associate to help customers, consignors, and shoppers. You will engage with people, log new items into our system, tag finds, and assist at checkout.

This role emphasizes smiles, teamwork, and a lively store atmosphere; prior FileMaker is a plus, but not required, and punctual, reliable multitasking is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with consignors and curate fresh finds
• Provide friendly customer service via phone and in person
• Maintain daily email communications with customers/consignors
• Log new products into the system for sale
• Tag best finds and prep them for shoppers
• Wrap up purchases with speedy, friendly checkouts
• Contribute to store staging, decorating and tidying
• Engage with the community on social media and respond to posts

Job duties and tasks include:

1. Building relationships with consignors and curating fresh finds through fun, collaborative consignment interactions
2. Turning questions into connections with friendly, feel-good customer service through phone calls or in-person customers
3. Keeping the conversation flowing with daily email check-ins and friendly replies to customers/consignors
4. Giving new/fresh products their spotlight by logging them into the system for sale
5. Tagging the best finds and getting them ready to wow shoppers
6. Wrapping up the shopping adventure with speedy, friendly checkouts to help the customer
7. Bringing your creativity and shine to the store through constant staging, decorating and tidying magic
8. Helping our social media shine with engaging posts and friendly replies, chatting with our awesome community
