Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Coordinator to lead forecasting, scheduling, and performance tracking that align demand with production capacity.

You will develop demand and supply insights, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements to planning processes. The successful candidate will use data analytics and forecasting methods to identify risks and opportunities, create dashboards, and support digital transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong analytical mindset.
• 3+ years of forecasting, planning, supply chain, operations, or analytics experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with BI tools encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market demand, orders, and trends to develop production schedules and factory build plans.
• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts using statistical methods.

The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Coordinator is responsible for leading forecasting, scheduling, and performance tracking activities that support business growth and operational excellence. This position develops demand and supply planning insights, analyzes business and operational trends, coordinates resource planning activities, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer demand, production capability, and business objectives.

The successful candidate will leverage data analytics, forecasting methodologies, and collaborative problem-solving to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives while supporting key business performance metrics.

Top Candidates For This Position May Also Have

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Operations Management, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in forecasting, planning, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or analytics preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Business Information Center (BIC), IBM Cognos, or similar business intelligence and analytics tools.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, production scheduling, or order management processes.

Summary Pay Range

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
