Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Part Time Sales Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll lead with a welcoming, inclusive approach while coaching the team on product styles and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Become a product and brand expert across Carter’s brands to guide families from preemie to size 14.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and explain product features and benefits.
• Maintain a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Foster an inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to maintain service standards and omni-channel experience.
• Lead and execute an assigned business focus area with thorough follow-through.
• Perform Leader on Duty duties by driving results and addressing customer concerns.
• Use customer feedback to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
• Build customer loyalty through company programs, including credit.
• Provide timely feedback to store team and raise performance concerns to Store Manager.
• Recognize exceptional performance and show appreciation to staff.
• Support store team with asset protection, safety, and operational controls.

What You’ll Do

• Become a product and brand expert of our brands to help families navigate every moment from preemie to size 14
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Maintain a genuine customer focus on the sales floor
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers
• Consistently model service standards and omni-channel experience while coaching others to success
• Lead and execute an assigned business focus area through planning and detailed follow through
• Perform Leader on Duty supervisor responsibilities by driving results and responding to customer concerns timely and with an appropriate resolution
• Utilize customer feedback to identify areas of opportunity to implement actions to drive results
• Build customer loyalty through Company sponsored programs, including credit
• Offer consistent, in the moment feedback to store team and raise performance concerns to Store Manager
• Recognize exceptional performance through positive reinforcement and appreciation
• Support store team with Asset Protection through a consistent level of customer service, safety awareness, and operational controls

Compensation

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.75 - $23.75 per hour based on experience and location.
