Remote, US. We're open to candidates based on the Gulf Coast (Louisiana, Houston, Corpus Christi, Austin etc) or the East Coast (Hampton Roads, DC metro, Newport, Jacksonville, South Florida etc). Up to 50% travel.
The role
SEA.AI builds AI and machine vision systems that give crews an accurate picture of what's around their vessel. Our technology is deployed on commercial vessels, patrol craft and unmanned surface vehicles worldwide.
We're building out our US business and looking for someone to grow defense and government sales across the Americas. You'll be an early commercial hire in the US subsidiary, reporting directly to the Head of Global Sales, with real influence over how we go to market here.
What you'll do
- Own relationships across the US Navy, Coast Guard, shipyards, system integrators and USV manufacturers
- Drive direct and channel sales against regional targets
- Build and support our US dealer, distributor and integrator network
- Lead our response to tenders and public-sector opportunities, and convert wins into long-term programs
- Own regional forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Represent SEA.AI at industry conferences in the US and abroad
- Work across other maritime segments as required
Your first twelve months
- Establish coverage of the Navy, USCG and top-tier USV builder accounts
- Work as a team with other key stakeholders to support customer demos and customer new product requirements
- Land new program wins or LOIs
- Develop new relevant integrator or dealer partnerships
What you need
- 5-10 years selling into defense or government maritime, ideally to or through the US Navy, USCG, prime contractors, system integrators or USV manufacturers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills. Knowledge of the Challenger Sales methodology or similar would be an asset
- A live network in the US maritime defense community that you can put to work from day one
- Track record closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long procurement cycles
- Authorized to work in the US and qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Service in the sea services is welcome and valued here.

- Eligibility for a US security clearance
- Experience selling sensor, autonomy or maritime technology products
- Native English with additional languages beneficial
