Our client, Kaloutas, provides a variety of industrial services throughout the New England region.

We are seeking a sales leader to serve as Sales Manager / Project Executive. Qualified individuals will be responsible for leading and managing their team to service existing customers and identify and capture new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading and managing a team of project managers in a B2B environment with a short-sales cycle, with a longer sales cycle for strategic pursuits. Experience in industrial services is preferred but not required.

The primary function of this position is to serve as the leader of their area, identifying and closing new sales opportunities, while also ensuring current projects are being delivered effectively. This role will be responsible for overseeing the project managers in their territory.

Essential Functions of the Sales Manager / Project Executive

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Sales function in your region, setting a clear vision and identifying key targets.
  • Foster an environment where capturing new sales is a strong value
  • Participate in strategic planning and management meetings as a member of the Sales Team.
  • Demonstrate strong systems judgment with the ability to see across functions, identify interdependencies, and guide decisions that benefit the business.
  • Take a hands-on approach to team development, fostering alignment with customer needs and market realities.
  • Lead a strategic review of current sales direction, affirming or recommending adjustments to ensure alignment of long-term vision and evolving market focus
  • Provide direct coaching, leadership and support to Project Managers who serve as frontline project leaders.
  • Maintain strong visibility by spending time with team members, ensuring downstream quality and reinforcing cultural and operational standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Sales Manager / Project Executive

  • Solid knowledge of business-to-business sales
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and strategic partners
  • Solid ability to develop and deliver presentations when necessary
  • Ability to set targets, design growth plans and work with other sales team members
  • Strong business, financial, operations and technology acumen
  • Ability to analyze customer data, business, and industry trends to create tailored solutions for customers based upon value proposition

Training & Experience Requirements for the Sales Manager / Project Executive

  • Experience and proven track record of developing and managing sales programs, developing new business, and leading project teams
  • Management level experience and record of success developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive sales and business development plan
  • Extensive experience building, training, and developing a sales plan
  • College degree preferred, but relevant experience is essential
