Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise in Flagstaff seeks an experienced Sales professional to drive hotel/resort business. You will solicit, negotiate and close new and repeat accounts, coordinating with other departments to ensure a quality guest experience across events and banquets.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field, 3+ years in hotel sales, proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS systems, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field plus a minimum of three (3) years hotel/resort sales experience, preferably in a 4-star/4-diamond property. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, and PMS systems such as Agilysys Visual-1 or LMS. Must have exceptional interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of the casino industry preferred. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must have strong working knowledge of banquet functions, room set-ups, A/V, and Food and Beverage. Must meet all knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. Valid Driver license. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods, walk; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory and verbal communications skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Frequent local or regional travel, using personal vehicle. Periodic domestic travel required. Occasional competitive property visits, industry & other meetings/events.
Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
