Job summary

American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company invites applications for the Eagle Life Sales Intern role in Des Moines. The 10–12 week, in-person internship supports the Eagle Life wholesaling teams by identifying regional opportunities and executing marketing campaigns with partner firms to drive sales on fixed & fixed index annuity products.

Interns gain hands-on experience across Marketing, National Accounts, and Customer Excellence, with mentorship from leaders, exposure to real projects,

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Management or a similar field.
• At the beginning of the Internship program, Eagle Life will sponsor your enrollment in a study course for the IA Life License including 1 exam fee.

Responsibilities

• Shadow team members to learn essential duties and functions of the role.
• Gain a basic understanding around annuities and how they fit into the financial planning process.
• Familiarize yourself with our product lineup and our capabilities.
• Assist wholesaling teams with illustration & pre-sale support requests, advisor list segmentation and execution of marketing campaigns.
• Work with data to unlock new insights that will provide actionable opportunities for sales execution.
• Assist the Advanced Planning team with market research and updating key collateral.
• Build strong working relationships with Marketing, National Accounts and Customer Excellence to achieve results.
• Learn and utilize Salesforce CRM, Illustration Software, and Customer Service Database.
• Present learnings to key stakeholders at internship conclusion.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a cross-functional initiative.
