Job summary

Bosselman Pump & Pantry is hiring a Sales Associate to greet customers, operate the POS, and keep the store clean and stocked while upholding food safety guidelines.

You'll contribute to fast, friendly service, handle transactions accurately, assist in restocking, and follow directions to ensure a positive shopping experience for guests. Prior retail or guest service experience is preferred; english communication required.

Qualifications

• Retail or guest service experience preferred.
• Able to work the POS system efficiently.
• Ability to read, write and perform math.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to change.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• English communication required.
• Reliable transportation and phone.

Responsibilities

• Arrives at work in a clean and proper uniform, and be clean and neat in appearance.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner. Understand all functions of the POS system.
• Makes change properly.
• Is proficient in opening and closing a shift, including completing all paperwork.
• Uses credit card equipment.
• Processes all sales quickly and accurately.
• Ensures all items are properly stocked and priced correctly.
• Reads and follows directions.
• Checks in vendor delivery.
• Assists in ordering.
• Understands fuel inventory reports.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and perform simple maintenance.
• Keeps store neat and clean, inside and outside.
• Recognizes problems and report them to management.
• Projects a positive attitude.
• Responsible for all aspects of food operations and handling/storage of product. Complies with all food handling guidelines to meet or exceed state/federal regulations.
• Ensures a clean and healthy food service environment for our customers and associates by following proper cooking procedures and temperature holding temps.
• Ensures that all food products are stored properly, rotated and code dated with expiration dates. Also ensure that all food products whether cooked or stored are held at proper temperatures.
• Responsible for temperature testing food to ensure proper food safety and quality control.
• Provides friendly and competent customer service.
• Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled with regular and consistent attendance.
• Assists in other duties, as assigned.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
