Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a motivated sales/admissions professional in Charlotte, NC to identify leads, tour prospective residents, and coordinate admissions while promoting the community’s services. You will work with families, explain fee structures, and drive referrals through targeted outreach and events.

The role rewards a proven sales background in real estate or health care with opportunities for commissions and career development within a nationwide senior living company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework and related experience.
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in real estate or health care, including promotion, public relations, or admissions; at least two years with a proven sales or promotion track record.
  • Prior experience selling or promoting senior residential and health‑care services is highly preferred.
  • Reliable car transportation with insurance and a valid driver’s license.
  • Applies guidelines to make varied decisions, uses sound judgment to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of senior residential and health‑care needs, marketing software, and competitive analysis; able to develop marketing strategies and persuade potential residents and families.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, handle interruptions, adjust hours, and communicate effectively with internal staff and referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely review software databases to identify and follow up on leads from all sources, contacting prospects to gather information on residential and care needs, encouraging wait‑list deposits, maintaining long‑term contact, promoting visits and tours, meeting established goals, and updating lead management system.
  • Maintain positive relationships with current residents and their families, encouraging them to promote the community, identify social groups for referral expansion, cultivate leads through interaction and interest in activities, follow up on referrals, and explain the Resident Referral Program.
  • Assist in identifying innovative events and methods to increase visitation of targeted groups; plan, sponsor, organize, and execute special events to attract referrals and prospects.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of competitors; communicate community features to competitively differentiate, and visit competitor communities to understand referral opportunities.
  • Conduct personal tours for prospective residents and families, scheduling meetings with staff and department heads to demonstrate how the community meets residents’ needs.
  • Explain fee structure clearly, coordinate financial assessment processes, staff interviews, and credit checks.
  • Close contractual arrangements, communicate unit availability and waiting lists, prepare legal documents, obtain signatures and deposits, and coordinate move‑in logistics with marketing assistance.
  • Provide input on promotional materials such as brochures, videos, and mailings.
  • Prepare written reports and communicate status of current success in a clear and concise manner.
