Job summary

DePuy Synthes is seeking a Field Clinical Specialist to provide in-hospital clinical and customer support while driving sales initiatives across the assigned Georgia territory. The role requires strong product knowledge, surgical instrument expertise, and proactive relationship management with surgeons and accounts.

The position involves operating room support, product demonstrations, and collaboration with sales, clinical, and marketing teams to meet market share goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT) plus minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experience, or minimum of 4 years of professional and/or related experience, or recently transitioned from Active Military Duty.
  • Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Ability to travel, including weekend and/or overnight travel
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory
  • Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skills required
  • Efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive, and proactive
  • Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and customer support in hospitals and procedures
  • Support sales logistics, technical expertise, product knowledge, sales objectives, and customer service
  • Maintain and manage surgeon and account relationships within the geographic territory
  • Retain and further penetrate existing customers while supporting product conversions with new customers
  • Assist in attaining established sales goals and market share objectives
  • Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room using clinical and product knowledge
  • Present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products
  • Attend surgeries and ensure proper equipment availability and performance
  • Optimize instrument trays and provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultation
  • Troubleshoot, provide technical assistance, handle customer requests, manage hospital billing, and create/close purchase orders
  • Share customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams
  • Prepare sales reports and documents
  • Maintain, track, and deploy equipment and assets throughout the assigned area
  • Maintain promotional materials and ensure services and offerings meet quality standards
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention and communicate DePuy Synthes value propositions and solutions
  • Differentiate products from competitors by providing customers with unique insights
