Job summary

The Children's Place in Lake Grove, NY is seeking a Sales Associate to assist the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide responsive customer service, apply product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to drive results.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and ensure all sizes and styles are represented. You will assist at the cashwrap, promote the PLACE Card, and keep the store clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Support and maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom and a customer-ready environment; adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Guarantee company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute focused efforts towards achievement of store goals.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary.

The Sales Associate will model and maintain excellent customer service with effective communication, product knowledge, and appropriate selling techniques. The Sales Associate will maintain company standards of all merchandise presentation, replenishment, and sizing while maintaining a new and clean store and backroom.

Hourly/Salary $17.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
