Job summary

Many Hands is seeking a charismatic Sales Associate in Clive, IA, to be the welcoming face of our ministry. You will provide an excellent customer experience through friendly and helpful interactions, helping customers find products and answering questions with a persuasive, upbeat approach.

Join us to represent our mission with integrity, balance transactions on a POS system, and ensure customers leave with a positive feeling. On-the-job training is provided to support your success.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, comfortable meeting new people and using a persuasive selling communication style.

• Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
• Reliable, orderly, and able to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and enthusiastically interact with every customer to create a welcoming shopping environment.
• Answer questions and help customers find merchandise using persuasive communication.
• Assist with locating products and resolving customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system and balance the cash register at shift start and end.
• Bag, box, and wrap purchased items and represent the ministry of Many Hands in interactions.

This role is far more than just ringing up purchases—it's about creating meaningful connections and representing our mission, vision, and core values to every person who walks through our doors.

What you'll be doing (A high-energy, people-focused role)

Your primary mission is to provide an excellent customer experience through friendly, persuasive, and helpful interactions.

• Be the Welcoming Star: Greet and enthusiastically interact with every customer, creating an inviting and positive shopping environment.
• The Go-To Expert: Use your persuasive communication skills to answer questions and provide information about our merchandise, helping customers find exactly what they need.
• Resolve & Relate: Assist customers in locating products and help them with any concerns or complaints, ensuring they leave happy and satisfied.
• Handle Transactions: Accurately collect payments using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash/refunds with basic math skills. You'll also ensure accurate transactions by balancing your register at the start and end of your shift.
• The Finishing Touch: Efficiently bag, box, and wrap purchased items.
• Champion Our Mission: Positively represent the ministry of Many Hands in all your interactions.

• A Quick Learner: You have the ability to operate or quickly learn a POS system and other standard retail equipment (we provide all the on-the-job training you’ll need!).
• Physical Ability: Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
