Job summary

Sun Tan City in Sioux City, IA is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to greet clients, discuss tanning options, and help close sales in a fast-paced salon environment.

You will provide friendly customer service, learn product recommendations, and support team objectives while helping to maintain a clean, welcoming space. Evening and weekend availability, with a flexible schedule and bonus opportunities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all clients’ needs are met and are treated professionally.
• Engage with clients by building relationships and understanding and meeting their needs as a client.
• Make recommendations for products and services.
• Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
• Multi-task by cleaning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon arrival.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of salon tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Work cohesively with a team in a fast‑paced salon while upholding all company policies and procedures.
• Work evenings and weekends; closing at 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
• We are closed on the five major holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
