Job summary

Runnings is seeking a Sales Associate to assist customers in the retail store, provide excellent service, and support cashier duties.

The role includes greeting customers, answering product questions, stocking and pricing, receiving freight, and handling transactions with the KCX system. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and long periods of standing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with service questions.
• Price merchandise and adjust prices as requested by management.

• Answer incoming phone calls and handle appropriately.
• Process transactions with KCX cash register system and maintain accurate cash handling.

Job description

The Sales Associate is responsible to assist customers throughout the retail store. The primary function of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service. This may include greeting customers in the store, cashier responsibilities, answering product related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by manager.
Hourly Pay Range: $13.00-$18.00 Depending on experience.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

1. The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store Manager.
2. The Sales Associate has no direct supervisory authority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greet customers as they shop in the retail store, assisting with customer service questions.
2. Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
3. Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
4. Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
5. Responsible for assisting in cycle counts.
6. Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
7. Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.
8. Responsible for accurate cash handling.
9. Responsible for handling customer returns.

OTHER DUTIES

1. Housekeeping duties
2. Other duties as assigned
