Job summary

Spring Step Shoes at Tanger Outlets Asheville is seeking energetic Sales Associates to create exceptional customer experiences while driving store performance.

You’ll meet sales goals, build relationships, upsell products, and maintain a clean, welcoming shop floor while supporting inventory and shipments. Part-time schedule (15–25 hours), evenings and weekends required, with uncapped commissions and employee discounts across Spring Footwear brands.

What You’ll Do

As a Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional customer experiences while driving store performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals, conversion targets, and customer service expectations
• Build genuine relationships with customers by identifying their needs and recommending the right products
• Maximize every customer interaction through upselling, cross-selling, and add-on sales opportunities
• Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing, and shop-ready sales floor
• Receive, unpack, process, and merchandise incoming shipments accurately
• Process e-commerce and ship-from-store orders with attention to detail and shipping standards
• Assist with inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and loss prevention practices
• Represent Spring Step Shoes with professionalism, energy, and brand pride
• Collaborate positively with teammates, mall management, vendors, and corporate partners
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Outlet, footwear, fashion, or specialty retail experience is a plus
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and climb ladders as needed
