Job summary

Eyeglass World in New York is seeking energetic team players to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced optical retail environment. You will guide customers through eyewear selection and final fitting, ensuring confidence in both product and service.

Join our team to support patient flow, assist with pre-exam screenings, and perform finishing work with precision while upholding Eyeglass World standards and brand presentation. Sundays off in some locations apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required)
• Fluent in reading & speaking both English & Spanish
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills (Required)
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required)
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required)

Responsibilities

Job Description

Essential Functions

Create an Exceptional Customer Experience

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience

Support Clinical & In Store Flow

• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey

Own Finish & Quality Excellence

• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff

Operate with Precision & Care

• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively

Bring the Brand to Life

• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience

Qualifications

Education
