Job summary

LensCrafters in Providence, RI seeks a Part-Time Sales Associate to deliver excellent eyewear customer service and drive sales through relationships and product recommendations. You will assist patients with frame choices, rely on prescriptions to suggest lenses, and work with the Optician on measurements.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior POS experience and math skills are valuable assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, calculators, basic phone use, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend lenses and coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, coordinating frames with measurements, and helping customers choose the best vision solution.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with the Optician as needed.
• Contribute to a positive store environment and build professional relationships with peers, management, doctors, and support staff.
• Maintain a clean and attractive store appearance, taking pride in displays and inventory.

The Sales Associate sets the standard of quality in eye care and eyewear by ensuring every patient and customer has the best experience. The role establishes LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs in your community.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver sales plan and company objectives through cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems, computers, calculators, basic phone use, and math skills.
• Embraces new technology and change with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to sell through sales skills and accountability, with a desire to meet goals.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Self‑motivated; ability to multitask and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
