Job summary

GALLERY DEPT. in Los Angeles seeks a Sales Associate to welcome clients, articulate our vision, and guide guests through the store experience with a focus on service and product knowledge.

You will process transactions, maintain an orderly selling floor, build client relationships, and collaborate with the team to meet monthly and quarterly goals in a dynamic fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail sales experience, preferably luxury.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong team player with punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and provide a tour of the retail space, sharing Gallery Dept.'s culture and values.

• Operate cash registers, manage transactions, and balance drawers.
• Capture client information in POS and build clientele relationships.
• Maintain store appearance and support floor and back-of-house tasks.

Sales Associate

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet clients; provide a tour of the retail space while sharing the culture, vision, values of Gallery Dept.
• Determine clients needs and address any related concerns
• Respond to questions, improve engagement with merchandise and provide outstanding customer service
• Follow-up with clients through callbacks
• Perform other reasonable job functions as assigned by an immediate supervisor and/or other management
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers
• Self-motivated with an ardent desire to achieve personal and company defined monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
• Ability to thrive in an environment of constant change
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Maintain existing clientele and develop new client relationships
• Self- starter, takes initiative to maintain individual productivity through strong client engagement, store maintenance, and teamwork
• Superior product, merchandise knowledge
• Maintain an orderly appearance and layout throughout the sales floor
• Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
• Capture complete client information in POS to track purchase history and develop clientele relationships
• Actively supports store maintenance on the floor and back of house, including but not limited to, controlling product pulled for client, folding, steaming, etc. and all items returned to respective zones
• Maintains a positive work environment through teamwork, collaboration and communication
• Attend daily meetings with team and sales supervisor to discuss scheduled appointments, product needs, and highlighted items
• Maintain and apply companies procedures and policies at all times
• Maintain appropriate physical and apparel appearance utilizing uniform standards approved by retail management

Required Skills/Abilities and Qualifications:

• Two years of retail sales experience preferably within a luxury retail environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be a strong team player, punctual, and excellent attendance record
• Ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks
• Strong professional and personable demeanor
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in computer skills Microsoft Office Suite, Mac, PC
• Familiar with POS terminals, tablets, phone
• Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Must sign an NDA

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable standing for long periods of time, physically mobile; can lift up to 20 pounds
