Job summary

Jenni Kayne in Greenwich, CT is seeking a frontline store teammate to maximize sales and deliver a warm, premium customer experience. You will determine customer needs, build relationships, and manage an active client book while representing the Jenni Kayne brand.

You will drive sales through consignments and designer partnerships, process POS transactions, assist with stock and displays, participate in store events, and promote the Jenni Kayne Rewards program across channels.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in retail sales.
  • Experience or interest in home interiors is a plus.
  • Willingness and availability to work during peak periods (weekends/holidays).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales and provide friendly, welcoming customer service.
  • Communicate with customers to determine their needs.
  • Build relationships with clients and maintain a client book.
  • Drive sales through consignments and partnerships with interior designers and wardrobe stylists.
  • Handle all POS transactions including exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrap.
  • Participate in store operations: displays, stock transfers, receiving merchandise.
  • Engage in store events and promote Jenni Kayne Rewards on social platforms.
  • Provide daily business recaps and feedback to management.
  • Help secure company assets through loss prevention practices.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Maximize sales and provide friendly and welcoming customer service
  • Communicate effectively with customers to determine their needs
  • Build relationships with clients and maintain an updated client book
  • Drive sales through consignments, partnerships with Interior Designers, and wardrobe stylists
  • Handle all point-of-sale transactions including sales, exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrap
  • Take an active role in all store operations such as maintaining displays, assisting with stock transfers, and receiving new merchandise
  • Participate in store events
  • Encourage customers to sign up for Jenni Kayne Rewards and engage with us on our social media platforms
  • Communicate effectively through sharing feedback with management and writing daily business recaps
  • Secure company assets through loss prevention in compliance with company policies and guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in retail sales
  • Experience or interest in home interiors is a plus
  • Can-do attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Willingness and availability to work during peak business periods - weekends, holidays, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with POS and Inventory Management systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (20 pounds or more) from time to time as required
