Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a store associate in the United States to be the primary contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, stock shelves, and help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You'll unload trucks, build displays, greet shoppers, operate the IBM cash register, bag purchases, and assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; restock on shelves.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and greet customers.
• Operate the cash register and total purchases; bag items.
• Collect payment and make change; assist with ordering via handheld scanners.
• Clean front end, restrooms, stockroom and set up sidewalk displays when needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
