Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, and operate the checkout. The role includes stocking, rotating stock, and maintaining displays while keeping the store clean and organized.

Responsibilities also cover following company merchandising processes, handling cash, and aiding the Store Manager with daily tasks to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills essential.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to operate a cash register and assist customers with purchases.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store and assist with general duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
