Job summary

Ace Hardware in Lincoln City, OR is seeking a proactive Sales Associate for Business & Contractor Sales. You will build relationships with local contractors and businesses, identify opportunities, and coordinate orders to grow commercial accounts.

You’ll deliver excellent service to both business and retail customers, use Salesforce to track activity, and collaborate with the store team on inventory, quotes, and projects like Hunter Douglas installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, customer service, or retail.
• Strong communication and relationship-building.
• Organized with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort making client calls and following up on opportunities and sales goals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn business software and sales tools.

Do you enjoy connecting with people, solving problems, and helping customers find the right products for their business? Join our Ace Hardware team and help local contractors, property managers, and other businesses get the supplies and service they need to succeed.

We're looking for a customer-focused, organized sales professional who enjoys building relationships and identifying opportunities to grow sales. In this role, you'll help develop new business accounts, strengthen relationships with existing customers, coordinate orders, and work with our team to deliver outstanding service.

You'll also support our retail customers and help create a store environment where everyone understands the importance of serving our local business community.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Grow business relationships

• Connect with local businesses and identify opportunities to earn their business.
• Follow up with prospective and existing customers by phone and in person.
• Help convert business leads into active customer accounts.
• Learn about customers' needs and recommend products and solutions that help their businesses operate efficiently.
• Work with the sales manager and outside sales representative to grow accounts and develop new opportunities.

Deliver an excellent customer experience

• Coordinate special orders, product sourcing, inventory availability, and customer pickup or delivery.
• Follow up on quotes, orders, and customer requests to ensure a smooth experience.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records using Salesforce and other business tools.
• Help customers with Hunter Douglas blinds sales, including product selection, measuring, ordering, and installation coordination, with training and support.

Help our whole store succeed

• Share B2B sales opportunities, customer insights, and successes with the store team.
• Help train and encourage associates to recognize and support business customers.
• Assist retail customers, maintain merchandise, restock products, and support daily store operations as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Sales, customer service, account management, or retail experience.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building customer relationships.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Comfort making customer calls, following up on opportunities, and working toward sales goals.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn business software and sales tools.
• A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record under company insurance requirements.

Experience with business customers, contractors, building supplies, Salesforce, or Hunter Douglas products is a plus. Spanish-English bilingual skills are also a plus.
