Goodwill Northern New England is seeking friendly, outgoing individuals for front-of-house roles in Windham, ME. You’ll greet customers, operate the register, pull merchandise, and maintain a welcoming store atmosphere to support our mission.

Responsibilities include customer service, merchandising, fitting-room assistance, and teamwork. A positive attitude, basic math, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and a background check are required. Pay ranges from $15.25 to $17.00 per hour, DOE.

Goodwill is looking for friendly, outgoing people to join our growing team! Whether it’s greeting customers, chatting with “regulars,” or just providing a great customer experience, Goodwill is the place for you! Working in the “front of the house” will be the primary responsibility. Running the register, pulling merchandise to make room for new products, attending the fitting rooms, and setting a friendly atmosphere for customers and co-workers alike!

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers with a smile, provide assistance, and ensure they have an enjoyable shopping experience.

Operate the Register: Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently while maintaining a cheerful and professional demeanor.

Merchandising: Help create an inviting and organized sales floor by arranging and refreshing merchandise making room for new products.

Fitting Rooms: Attend to the fitting rooms, ensuring customers have everything they need to make confident purchasing decisions.

Team Spirit: Set a friendly and supportive atmosphere for customers and co-workers, building a sense of community within our store.

Minimum Qualifications:

Positive Attitude: A must! Display a friendly and positive demeanor to create a welcoming work environment.

Basic Math and Literacy Skills: Essential for handling transactions and supporting job duties.

Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Background Check: Pass a criminal background check meeting agency standards.

Physical Abilities: Can exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Retail Experience or Certification: Prior retail experience or relevant certification is a plus.

Education: High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent educational background.
