Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking Store Team Members to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help customers select products, maintain displays, and support curbside pickup and delivery as needed.

Roles include merchandising, front-end duties, and upholding safety and compliance with alcohol sale laws. The team member will also assist with inventory, signage, and promotional programs while supporting digital operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and drive sales by engaging customers and advising on products.
• Maximize product inventory, process freight, build displays and end caps, and pull/stock merchandise.
• Assist with in-store and curbside pickup and delivery services, including unpacking and loading.
• Maintain knowledge of ads, promotions, and loyalty programs; ensure store safety and cleanliness.

About the role

• All Store Team Members play an essential role in building the company brand by delivering excellent customer service.
• You will provide service and drive sales by engaging with customers and advising them on products.
• While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on sales responsibilities, you may also be assigned merchandising, front end or other responsibilities as needed.
• Internally you will be referred to as Service Team Member and report to the store management team.
• You will Maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, placing signage, and supporting digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities as assigned and perform other duties as assigned.
• Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws - if delivery is added as an essential job function.
• If this job posting is coded as a seasonal role above, you can expect this position to be short term, no longer than six months, and you will have the option to apply for a non-seasonal role.
