Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first face of the brand for families. You’ll welcome customers, explain product features, and help with omnichannel shopping to deliver a positive experience.

Join a welcoming team, support store operations, and promote promotions and loyalty benefits while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly greeting and explain product features and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain a busy, positive shopping environment.
• Assist customers with omnichannel shopping to ensure a seamless experience.
• Process POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Replenish floor stock and manage shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and loyalty programs, including rewards and credits.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
