Job Overview

Part‑time Sales Associate at Five Below responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging customers immediately and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions by informing customers about current activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns by addressing issues and using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management, regularly informing about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate the cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5–10 feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, which may include day, evening, weekends and overnight shifts and travel (as required).
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
