Job summary

Carter’s Careers is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll greet customers, explain our baby essentials, and assist with school readiness purchases. You’ll join a welcoming environment that values teamwork and growth.

In a fast-paced retail setting, you’ll resolve issues, support omnichannel initiatives, and help customers earn rewards while maintaining a clean, inviting store and upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and explain product styles, features, and benefits.

• Support omnichannel sales to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
• Execute POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the loyalty program to customers.
• Help maintain a safe, clean store and minimize losses.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Compensation for this position ranges from $12.00 - $14.00 per hour based on experience and location.
