This role suits students or retail professionals who enjoy the holidays. You must have 1+ year retail experience, be comfortable with mobile POS (Shopify POS, Square), stand for long shifts, and be reliable with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail, customer service, or pop-up/event sales experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mobile POS platforms (Shopify POS, Square) and digital payment tools.
• Enthusiastic, approachable, and articulate with strong interpersonal skills.
• Stand 6–8 hours, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in cold outdoor winter weather.
• Extremely reliable attendance; punctuality is essential for booth openings.

Responsibilities

We are seeking energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join our team for the upcoming NYC Holiday Market season. Operating in a vibrant, fast-paced outdoor market environment, you will be the face of our brand—engaging holiday shoppers, sharing our brand story, maintaining visual booth standards, and processing seamless checkout transactions.

This is an ideal role for students, retail professionals, or anyone who loves the holiday season and thrives in high-energy, outdoor pop-up retail settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement & Sales: Warmly greet market visitors, provide attentive customer service, and share product stories, craftsmanship details, and styling recommendations to drive sales.
• POS & Transaction Management: Accurately process card and cash transactions using a mobile Point-of-Sale (Shopify / Square POS), manage receipts, and maintain drawer accuracy.
• Booth Merchandising & Restocking: Keep product displays fully stocked, neatly arranged, and visually inviting throughout peak foot-traffic periods.
• Kiosk Operations: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including unboxing/organizing inventory, securing the booth at night, and conducting end-of-day inventory checks.
• Environment Readiness: Maintain high energy, warmth, and professionalism while working in an outdoor or semi-enclosed winter market setting.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of retail, customer service, or pop-up/event sales experience preferred.
• Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with mobile POS platforms (Shopify POS, Square) and digital payment tools.
• Communication: Enthusiastic, approachable, and articulate with strong interpersonal skills.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of a 6- to 8-hour shift, lift up to 25 lbs (inventory boxes), and work comfortably in cold outdoor winter weather.
• Punctuality & Reliability: Extremely reliable attendance record; punctuality is essential for booth opening and shift handoffs.

Schedule & Availability

• Dates: November 30th through December 31st.
• Shifts: Morning, evening, and weekend shifts available (typically 15–28 hours per week).
• Must-Have Availability: Weekend flexibility (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) and peak holiday dates (including the week leading up to Christmas Eve) are required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay rate ($13.00 – $15.00/hr).
