Job summary

Talbots in Mobile, AL is seeking a part-time retail associate to deliver exceptional customer service, showcase fashion expertise, and promote the Talbots brand. You will help drive store sales, assist customers with styling, and participate in merchandising and operational tasks.

The role requires strong communication, a love of fashion, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote products to build brand relationships.
• Assist management in building store business and executing service enhancements.
• Work with Concierge and other services to enhance the customer experience.
• Handle multiple customers and projects simultaneously with efficiency.
• Stay informed on fashion trends and product knowledge to outfit customers.
• Use fashion knowledge to create outfits and suggest matching items.
• Strive to meet sales and service metrics through clientelling and outreach.
• Complete operational tasks such as processing orders and replenishment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.


• Take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.


• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.


• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously.


• Be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion etc.


• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.


• Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback.


• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: clientelling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards.


• Complete projects as assigned including operational assignments: filling orders, replenishment, recovery etc.
