Job summary

Talbots in Eastwood, MI is seeking a part-time store associate who delivers an exceptional customer experience and demonstrates fashion knowledge. You will support management, build customer relationships and participate in merchandising and service initiatives.

You should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, stay informed on trends, and contribute to achieving sales targets while representing the Talbots brand with integrity and courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Assist management to build store business.
• Support service enhancements to build relationships, including Concierge.
• Service multiple customers, multi-task and handle projects.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and knowledge about new arrivals (fit, color, fashion).
• Create outfits using product knowledge to match customers’ needs.
• Maximize performance through learning, coaching and feedback.
• Hit sales and service metrics: clientelling/outreach, appointments, Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete operational tasks: filling orders, replenishment, recovery.

What You'll Do:

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.
• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously.
• Be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion etc.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
• Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: clientelling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete projects as assigned including operational assignments: filling orders, replenishment, recovery etc.
