Job summary

Turner’s Outdoorsman is hiring Seasonal Associates in Mesa, AZ. The position is regular part-time with hourly pay of $15.15. You will greet customers, process firearms paperwork, create orders, and deliver excellent service while supporting merchandising and stock duties.

You must be 18+, eligible to work in a firearms environment, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. Training seminars may occur off-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior retail or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Regular Part-Time Mesa, AZ, US

Salary Range: $15.15 To $15.15 Hourly

Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking Seasonal Associates to join the team. The Turner’s Outdoorsman Sales Associate assists the Store Management in the performance of his/her duties. Follows the premise of being a committed team player, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner’s brand and company culture. The Sales Associate is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greets all customers
• Executes all required firearms paperwork within legal parameters
• Create customer orders
• Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship
• Demonstrates constant awareness of firearm safety
• Responsible for assisting in store merchandising changes
• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
• Receives stock and merchandise
• Actively involved in promotions, sales and events
• May fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques
• May participate in inventory tasks
• Able to attend training seminars, including some off-site
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred
• Prior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred
• Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
• Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Occasional travel may be required (approximately 5% of the time-participating in events, training seminars etc)

HOURS

• Hours-varied-OT may be required
• Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods
