Job summary

Carter's is hiring a Sales Associate in Oregon. You will be the first face of the brand for growing families, guiding them through our baby essentials, school readiness, and brand programs.

You will create a welcoming, inclusive environment and support customers across in-store and omnichannel experiences. Responsibilities include greeting customers, resolving issues, processing transactions, replenishing floors, and promoting promotions and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is desirable.
• Clear communication and a friendly demeanor are key.
• Ability to multitask and assist multiple customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and explain product styles, features, and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues promptly in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Assist customers with omnichannel support for a seamless shopping experience.
• Process transactions efficiently at the POS/register.
• Complete floor replenishment and assist with shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the Carter's loyalty program to customers.
• Help minimize losses by maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we'd love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
