Job summary

Carter’s is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll greet customers, introduce them to our baby essentials, and help families prep for the first day of school in a welcoming environment.

You’ll thrive in a busy retail setting, resolving issues, assisting with omnichannel shopping, handling POS transactions, restocking floors, explaining promotions and the loyalty program, and maintaining a safe, clean store.

Qualifications

• Customer service and engagement skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy retail environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience and location.
