CJ's Ace Hardware is looking for friendly, outgoing team members to welcome and assist customers. Prior hardware experience is a plus but not required as extensive training is provided. This locally owned store emphasizes community involvement and helping neighbors with their projects.

The Sales Associate will help customers, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized store environment while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with purchases in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and stock areas.
• Assist customers with product questions and locating items.
• Process transactions and handle merchandise returns as needed.
• Support receiving, stocking, and pricing processes.
• Ensure phone calls and pages are answered promptly and professionally.
• Maintain product knowledge and store layout awareness.
• Support merchandising resets and seasonal displays.

General Summary:

The Sales Associate's are primarily responsible for helping customers. They also assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Greet customers throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Assist with orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
• Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Retail experience (preferred)
• Hardware experience (preferred)
